We took an Island Packers charter boat from Ventura to Santa Cruz Island We hiked to Cavern Point which had beautiful views. Later we hiked to Potato Harbor which is named because of its shape. We heard some seals down below. On our way back to the boat at Scorpion Anchorage we saw two foxes in the camping area. They looked like small dogs and were black, brown and rusty in color. The next day we drove to Oxnard where we boarded a boat which took us to Anacapa. We saw lots of dolphins. The boat had to back up to ladders at the Anacapa landing. We had to go up two steps out of the boat and then 157 steps on stairs to the top of the island. There were thousands of gulls on the island, some nesting. The next day we drove to Joshua Tree National Park which was very crowded. | ||
