In February we traveled to Southern Arizona to visit some favorite places. We spent time in Ajo, Organ Pipe National Monument, Arivaca, and Tubac. We looked for Sandhill Cranes at Wilcox Playa and White Water Draw. We loved hiking in the Chiricahua mountains. In April we headed to California to visit some national parks we had never seen. We stopped in Laughlin on our way to Death Valley. We had driven through Death Valley but never really explored it. What amazing scenery. We enjoyed hiking and taking the scenic drives through the valley. We headed to Bakersfield after exploring Death Valley and spent a few days in Greenfield, California to explore Pinnacles National Park. This is a park made for hikers and rock climbers. We stayed in Ventura for a few days to explore two of the Channel Islands. In July we took our trailer to South Dakota. On our way we spent a couple days in Gallup, New Mexico. | ||
