2014 AIRSTREAM JOURNEYS
Our friends, Lou and Chris, were our neighbors over 40 years ago in Mesa, AZ. We had kept in touch and decided it was high time we visited them. They live in Fernley, Nevada, near Reno. Chris made us a delicious spaghetti dinner on our first night. Lou introduced us to ice wine. They taught us a new card game called Hand and Foot. It was a fun evening, catching up on the past 40 years.
The next day Lou and Chris picked us up and we headed for Reno. We were amazed at the variety and pristine condition of the cars in the National Automobile Museum. Most of the cars are from William Harrah's collection. Later, we went to Sawasdee Thai Restaurant for lunch. We also went on a scenic drive into the hills above Reno to the Galena Recreation area. It is a beautiful area with a fishing lake and picnic tables.
