2014 China Trip
Our trip to China in September 2014 was a once in a lifetime experience. We went with Viking River Cruises and had a wonderful time. We have some great memories of the people and places in China.
China is bordered by 14 countries, with a population of 1.3 billion people. All of China is on one time zone. Many historians consider China the longest continuous civilization, marking 6,000 BC as the dawn of the Chinese civilization.
We flew to Beijing, then to Xian, then to Chongking where we boarded the Viking Emerald for our 5 day cruise on the Yangtze River. At the end of our cruise we spent an afternoon in Wuhan and then flew to Shanghai. From there we flew to Guilin and then on to Hong Kong/Kowloon.
