Waldport is another one of our favorite towns on the Oregon Coast. It is located between Yachats and Newport. We love going to Smelt Sands to watch the waves at high tide. There is a nice trail along the ocean. It is so relaxing to watch the waves crashing onto the rocks. We often see whales in this area.

Our son, John and his wife, Jean came up for a couple of days too visit us. We spent some time at Yachats State Beach and also at Smelt Sands. Back at the RV park we saw a family of five otters on the dock in back of our Airstream.
