2014 AIRSTREAM JOURNEYS
We traveled to Kanab, Utah which is just over the northern border of Arizona. We enjoyed our Hummer tour to Peekaboo Canyon. The Hummer had to traverse through thick coral sand to the opening of the slot canyon. We love the way the light hits the canyon walls, creating colorful shapes and textures. Then we went to an underground lake which was hidden in a cave. The outside walls were amazing.
We spent two days in Zion, camping overnight at Watchman campground. A shuttle runs through Zion Canyon, stopping at various points. We hiked to the Emerald Pools and took some pictures of the reflections. We spent some time walking along the Riverview trail, but we decided against hiking up into the canyon as most of the hike is in water which is at times waist deep. It had been at least 20 years since we had been to Zion and it is more beautiful than we remembered.
