We drove to Mill Creek, California and parked the Airstream at the Child's Meadow RV Resort which is about nine miles from Lassen Volcanic National Park. We spent a day exploring the park. The Sulphur Works is an area of hydrothermal activity. The lakes were just melting and the "thin ice" sign warned us not to walk out on the lakes. The road reaches the summit at 8511 feet. There was a lot of snow on the mountains. Mt. Lassen was reflected in Hat Lake. We had lunch at Manzanita Lake and watched some people kayaking across the lake. The RV park had poppies and irises in the flower beds in front of the store.
