2014 AIRSTREAM JOURNEYS
We arrived at Joe Creek Waterfalls RV Park on May 27th. The park is in a beautiful setting among pine and madrone trees. There is a trail down to the creek and a view of the waterfalls. Our friends, Allen and Pat live a short distance away. We spent time visiting and playing crazy card games.
One day we all went to Roseburg to check out two wineries. Our first stop was Ruestle's which is located in the rolling hills west of the small town of Sutherlin. From there we bought some KFC chicken and went to Glasers Winery which is next to the Umqua River. We drank a bottle of wine and ate our picnic on the deck overlooking the river.
On Sunday, after church, Allen and Pat came to the RV park and we grilled hamburgers. We walked to the creek and then after relaxing a while in our chairs saw some wild turkeys wander around the RV park. We also saw a blue tailed skink slither by our chairs.
